Join us for a quick presentation on how state policy and market trends are affecting your bill and what you can do at home to prepare. Then meet with representatives from the local government programs that provide rebates and assistance to improve your home's efficiency, health and comfort.

  • East Bay Community Energy - your local electricity provider
  • Home Energy Score - $200 rebate for a home energy rating and recommendations for improvement
  • Home+ Rebates - up to $5,000 in rebates for energy upgrades
  • SunShares - discounts on solar and electric vehicles
  • Local contractors who participate in government rebate programs

Join the City of San Jose and Ann Edminster, a leading expert on green homes, to learn the latest building practices and leading technologies that can reduce your carbon emissions and improve home comfort and safety.

Learn how to earn rebates from the City of San Jose and BayREN Home+ Program for making your home more energy efficient. Eligible improvements include air sealing, duct sealing, insulation, heating and cooling equipment, water heater upgrades, and more.

Who is Ann Edminster?

Ann Edminster is a leading international expert on efficient green homes. She has chaired the Green Building Task Force for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico’s Commission for Environmental Cooperation, and led the development of LEED for Homes for the U.S. Green Buidling Council. In 2013 she was named Affordable Comfort Inc.’s first Woman of the Year.

Creating an energy-efficient residential building stock is a key element of Climate Smart San José. To show our appreciation, we're hosting a catered BBQ lunch for YOU, provided by Kinders BBQ!
